Terms of service

We understand that it isn’t always possible to keep our commitment but to keep it fair for all clients and guides, we have made a strict booking and cancellation policy in place. Note: we operate on a strict 24-hour cancellation/reschedule policy for all our classes.

Bookings

  • All classes can be booked up to 1 month in advance

  • Bookings close 30 minutes before an online class and 2 hours before an in-person class

  • All classes must be paid for via our online booking system to be confirmed a spot

  • When you receive a gift card for classes, you must redeem it within its given validity period

  • When you book a package of classes (e.g. for private sessions and/or coaching services), you must abide by the validity period of these sessions and commit to agreed payment plans

  • When you join a program and miss a session (we know life happens), you are open to joining a make-up session within a month of the program.

Payment & Refunds

  • Payment for classes must be received prior to the scheduled class date to ensure your spot

  • There is strictly no cash payment or pre-class reservations

  • Exchange of retail items must be made within 7 days from the date of purchase

  • All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable

  • All payments will direct you to a third-party payment provider

Cancellation, No-Shows & Late Arrival

  • All cancellations should be made via our booking system. No cancellations via phone or email

  • There will be no penalties for cancellations or reschedules done 24 hours before the class

  • No-show refers to either party not showing up. We will add a free session to the package if the guide fails to show up. If the client fails to turn up, that session is considered one session done

  • Classes not canceled or rescheduled 24 hours before, including no-shows and late arrivals, will be charged in full. This includes workshops, special events, or retreats

  • If a class is canceled by the House of Pause for any reason, we will make every effort to contact you via email or telephone to let you know. These canceled classes will be added back to your account

  • Unless a medical certificate can be furnished, or if the cancellation is mutual, the session will be considered canceled without penalty

  • There is a grace period of 10 minutes - later than that, you will not be allowed to enter the class to ensure a peaceful session for those on time

  • No time will be extended if the client is late. In the event that our guide is late, we will take responsibility and compensate the client’s time accordingly

Dress code

Comfortable loose clothing suitable for sitting on the floor cross-legged

Personal Belongings

All personal belongings brought into the House of Pause offline classes are at the clients’ own risk, the company does not accept any liability for loss or damages to such items

Photography

No photography during a class - this applies to online and in-person sessions

You are welcome to take pictures before or after a class as long as there are no other clients’ profiles in it. Should there be a time when we need to take photos/videos, we will ask for consent prior to the session

INDEMNITY & RELEASE

House of Pause accepts no responsibility for any client who does not follow the instructed class or has not disclosed medical conditions or recent injuries to the teacher. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to inform the instructor if you feel unwell or any discomfort.

  • If you find that you are pregnant, please let us know as soon as possible as some of our classes will not be suitable for you. If you choose not to tell us or the teacher about your pregnancy, House of Pause will accept no responsibility for any injuries or issues that may occur as a result of doing a class.

  • Whilst reasonable precaution will be taken by House of Pause and its agent(s) to ensure participants’ safety, I understand that as a participant, I take part at my own risk.

  • If you have been advised by a doctor not to continue with any form of exercise due to an injury or a permanent medical reason and your membership or sessions are still valid, please get in touch with bookings@houseofpause.com immediately. We will require a letter from your doctor and your account will be frozen for an agreed period of time.
